Fr Peter Anthony Fulton passed away peacefully at the Austin Hospital on 3 February 2012.
Loved brother to Bill, son to Christopher and Muriel (both dec), brother to John and Marie (Sr Patricia) (both dec), and brother-in-law of Pat and Jewil.
A fun-loving uncle and a generous, devoted great-uncle to Laurence & Fiona (and Rose, dec), Bernadette & Peter, Anita & Peter, Clare & Andrew, Jewil and Rusty.

Vigil Prayers will be led by Rev Fr Laurie Pearson on Tuesday 7 February 2012 at 7:30pm at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 313 Canadian Bay Rd, Mt Eliza. Rev Fr Michael McEntee will deliver the homily. Archbishop Denis Hart will be the principal celebrant of the Funeral Mass on the following day at Greensborough, and Rev Fr Kevin McIntosh will preach the homily. Following refreshments in the Parish Hall at Greensborough after the Pontifical Funeral Mass, the Burial will take place at the Matthews Lawn at Springvale Botanical Cemetery at 4pm. |

Fr Fulton served the Church for over 41 years. He was Assistant Priest in the Parishes of Healesville, Dandenong, South Caulfield, Doncaster and Blackburn.
Father Peter Fulton volunteered for the Melbourne Overseas Mission and went to the diocese of Kerema in Papua New Guinea in 1977.
In a plane crash in 1978, Peter Fulton lost the use of both legs and lived as a paraplegic for several decades. On his return from PNG, he became a member of staff at Corpus Christi College, Clayton. He was later appointed Parish Priest of Mount Eliza, where he remained until his resignation due to ill health. Fr Fulton was appointed Pastor Emeritus in 2010.
The Vicar General, Bishop Les Tomlinson, said, "Those who knew Peter have a lasting impression of his courage, perseverance and determination is coping with his disabilities and the consequential complications to his health over many years".
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. May he rest in peace.

He has been a huge part of our lives growing us as kids. Uncle Pete was there when I was baptised, he was the one who married my husband and I, he baptised both my girls. He lives on through our memories and we are truely blessed to have had him in our lives. Rest in Peace xox |
